Established in 2012 by founder George Mankgarube Mapea, RASUPI Plant Hire and Logistics has grown from humble beginnings into a dynamic force within the industry. Initially launched with two trucks and two staff members, the company's trajectory changed when Lucas Mapea assumed a directorship role at the age of 18 in the same year. Proudly recognized as a 100% black youth-owned business, RASUPI is a testament to resilience, vision, and the indomitable spirit of its leadership. Following the unfortunate passing of George Mankgarube Mapea, Lucas Rasupi Mapea assumed full responsibility for the business, steering it towards unprecedented growth and success. In 2023, RASUPI's fleet boasts an impressive lineup, comprising 71 operational trucks, 11 x 10 cube back tippers, and 60 by 34ton side tippers. Additionally, the company proudly operates two front-end loaders and 10 yellow equipment trucks. The committed team comprises 70 drivers, 8 office personnel, 4 supervisors, and 8 mechanics, all working diligently to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, nine back-tipper operators play a crucial role in the company's efficiency. Lucas Mapea's commitment to excellence extends beyond the business realm. Despite the challenges of running the company in the absence of his father, he pursued academic achievement, graduating with a business degree from Monash University in 2017.
