RAVEN, a. s.

The RAVEN Group consists of a joint-stock company RAVEN a.s. with subsidiaries RAVEN CZ a.s., RAVEN PL Sp. z o. o. and RAVEN Hungary Kft., and with its 750 employees is currently one of the most important sellers of metallurgical material within the Visegrad Group. The Group includes also manufacturing divisions, which for its customers provide cutting and bending of reinforcing steel, including tying, production of welded assemblies, concrete cages, material cutting, shearing and shaped cutting of metal sheets. The RAVEN Group with its 750 employees achieves an annual turnover of 300 mils. €. The foundation of the Raven group is bound to 1993 when the Slovak shareholder established the joint-stock company RAVEN a.s in Považská Bystrica. The opening of the first Wholesale warehouse in Považská Bystrica was followed by an expansion of the network of new warehouses in Slovakia, namely in Bratislava, Košice and Banská Bystrica. The company RAVEN a.s. extended its business portfolio, consisting of a wide range of metallurgical material, by the sale of construction material in Považská Bystrica. The RAVEN brand came to the Czech market with metallurgical products in 2002, by establishing a subsidiary - RAVEN CZ a.s., located in Hradec Králové. The first wholesale warehouse was opened in 2006 in Brno, followed by a new wholesale warehouse in Ostrava opened in March 2011. Capacities for the processing of reinforcing steel were expanded in the Czech Republic in 2012 by the bending plant in Strančice near Prague. The subsidiary RAVEN PL Sp. z o.o. was found in Gliwice, Poland in 2011. In 2015 was the brand RAVEN expanded to the Hungarian market through the newly created subsidiary RAVEN Hungary Kft. based in Sóskút.
