Ravens Engineering Inc. is a consulting structural engineering company established in January 1993. We have built up our reputation with many clients and architects for providing an excellent service and a pro-active, sympathetic, innovative and sustainable approach to problem solving We consider the Structural Engineer to be an important member of the design and construction team and we aim to be involved with projects at the earliest opportunity. The expertise and experience within our practice can then be used to help produce innovative & elegant solutions. We provide full structural engineering services from conceptual preliminary design and design meetings held with the consultants and clients through the tender/permit documents to the site reviews and construction administration. Throughout the design process we work closely with the architect and other consultants to ensure proper co-ordination of all disciplines involved. We are a firm that excels in solving problems and achieving architectural vision, at the same time producing tight contract documents and efficient structures. Our work includes structural design and construction administration for commercial, healthcare, education, leisure / cultural buildings as well as customized houses and retail throughout Ontario. We have considerable experience in the renovations of existing and historic buildings where remedial and refurbishment work is undertaken. We have also worked on a number of structurally specialized projects such as decorative glass supports, support towers for large screens, special foundations, etc. Increasingly, sustainability is a key factor in deciding the design approach for new sites, buildings and structures. The structural and civil engineering solutions are becoming ever more important in creating environmentally responsible developments. Our constant aim is to provide structural solutions that combine economy and sustainability with creative conceptual design.
