RCCNB is a center of scientific excellence established in 2013 under the CSE (STDF) funding scheme from the government of Egypt and hosted by Alexandria University. The center is a collaborative effort of a group of neurosurgeons, scientists and engineers from Alexandria University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. RCCNB received funding from STDF and Alexandria university hospital.
