About Radboud Consortium for Glycoscience

The Radboud Consortium for Glycoscience (RCG) was established in 2019 as collaboration between different research groups of the Radboud University and the Radboudumc to engage in the field of glycosicence. This unique field of research is often neglected despite its tremendous impact on all biological processes. Understanding the glycome will have a major impact on every aspect of life sciences, from developmental biology to personalized medicine. It is our ambition to grasp this potential by joining forces of internationally recognized research groups. Currently, ten different groups are working within the RCG including technicians, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and professors. We are creating a unique infrastructure to enhance knowledge and technology transfer. We focus our efforts on three topics: 1. Creating visibility and awareness in the field of glycoscience. 2. Teaching activities on glycoscience. 3. Development of glycoscience tools to study glycosylation in a translational context.
