Founded in 1915, the Richmond College Student Government Association (RCSGA) is the overarching body of student governance for Richmond College at the University of Richmond. In addition to representing student concerns, RCSGA advocates for student interests, develops and supports programming, and fosters collaboration with Westhampton College. It serves as a vital liaison between students and the administration, faculty, and staff, while also cultivating leadership opportunities and strengthening the student experience across academics, campus life, and community engagement.
The Senate, led by the RCSGA President elected by the student body, is composed of class‑elected senators and chairs. Together, they serve on standing committees focused on Administration, Finance, Academic Affairs, External Affairs, and Student Affairs, with the Well‑Being Committee added in 2025 to address the growing importance of student health and wellness.
