Red Cross Youth of UPLB

The Red Cross Youth of University of the Philippines Los Banos or RCY of UPLB, one of the component services of the Philippine Red Cross and part of the International Red Cross Movement, is a non-profit, mass-based, student civic organization that aims to uphold humanity as one of its principles. RCY of UPLB was founded on June 25, 1975 as initiated by Sir Sherwin Lopez. Now, the RCY of UPLB is celebrating 49 years of service! From humble beginnings to becoming a symbol of volunteerism in our community, RCY of UPLB has exemplified what it means to be in motion for nearly half a century. RCY of UPLB, as guided by the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, continues to uphold its commitment to service. Further, the organization proceeds to serve its community as one of the six major services of the Philippine Red Cross.
