We collect used down products before they end up in the waste cycle, extract the virgin down inside, and recycle it so it can be used again. After all, while down is durable, its source is not.
We sort the feathers, then thoroughly wash and dry them before sending them off to conscious companies looking to make ethically responsible decisions. They use Re:Down recycled down as filling material for Jackets, Sleeping Bags, Comforters, Pillows, Upholstery, and more. Our client collaborations include Tommy Hilfiger, H&M Group, Everlane, Mammut, and Patagonia.
The feathers that can't be reused—the broken ones— are up-cycled in a different way. Feathers are rich in organic nitrogen, so we make organic fertilizer out of them. And give back to the earth in a nourishing way.
