Ready Our Youth

Our mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health and spread awareness on the opioid epidemic that continues to influence many Canadian lives. We believe that it is important for students to be aware of what an opioid overdose is, what the symptoms are and what they can do if they witness someone experience one. We do this by inviting guest speakers, such as pharmacists, or professors to discuss these topics and even train students on what they can do in situations when a person is suffering an overdose, for example using a naloxone kit. Not only do we hope to spread awareness regarding this topic on our campus, but also on other campuses, in high schools or any other establishment that allows us to spread our message.
