The Rural Entrepreneurship And Leadership for Women Co-Lab (REAL Co-Lab), an initiative of the University of Montana, addresses the unique challenges faced by all rural entrepreneurs and leaders across the nation. The Co-Lab's mission is to deliver actionable data through studies, experiments, and pilot programs to inform policy and support U.S. rural entrepreneurs and leaders and their communities. Our vision is to lead the nation in research that makes impact for U.S. rural entrepreneurs and leaders, their communities, and the economy. 🌱 Expand Opportunities: We help rural entrepreneurs get the tools they need to thrive, starting in Montana and extending nationwide. 🤝 Partner for Impact: We work with economic development organizations, banks, and community development financial institutions to create solutions that open doors for rural entrepreneurs. 💸 Increase Access to Capital: We develop innovative financial models like microgrants and alternative lending programs to make funding more accessible. 📚 Train Funders and Investors: Equip funders with the insights needed to support rural business owners more effectively.
