Job searching can be a frustrating process with applicants reporting their top issues being lengthy job applications, dealing with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and lack of communication from recruiters. These problems arise from the online job application which inherently lacks human connection for the first step of the hiring process. Interviews and screenings exist in the hiring process for a reason, because it is a chance for recruiters and applicants to get to know each other. Since the recruitment process is inherently human, RealPrompt is designed for human interaction and connection at the point of demonstrating interest in a job position or job searcher. Our mission is to provide a way for job searchers to convey their unique qualifications as simply and easily as possible as soon as the application process starts. Our app features interactive profiles and job applications where a recruiter or job searcher can comment on what caught their eye. Our UI is designed to reduce the time it takes to reach out to a job searcher or recruiter which is why profiles and job applications in our app are shorter than typical resumes and online job applications. Invitations are a simple and quick way to manage pending connections and in-app chat allows the conversation to get started in a casual and on-demand manner.
