Loud guitars and powerful gritty vocals are the fuel for Rearview Ghost, a modern hard rock band led by female vocalist Josia and comprised of guitarist Craig “King of Noise” Shadix and bassist Flip Cooper. This North Alabama band has been bucking trends and pushing boundaries, bringing back an old flair with a raw new energy sound.
Every song establishes its own identity and shows the versatility of their music. Rearview Ghost can crank it up for an edgy “balls-out” hard rock sound, then evoke the sensitivity of their bluesy side from days gone by…simultaneously sounding like the same unique band - always staying true to themselves.
The band's long-awaited self-titled debut CD dropped May 8th 2012 and climbed the regional rock charts and radio. Rearview Ghost has already headlined and opened with bands such as Ages Apart, Within Reason, My Darkest Days, and Candlebox.
They are currently in studio with uberproducer Michael Wagener at WireWorld Studio in Nashville, TN. Wagener has produced or mixed platinum selling albums by Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P., Overkill, Accept, Great White, Metallica, Poison, Keel, Alice Cooper, Extreme, Megadeth, Janet Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne, Dokken, White Lion, and Skid Row.
New single "Devil's Backbone" was mixed and produced with Michael Wagener and released March 2013.
