Rechargeplus was established in 2004 to develop state of the art applications to address the requirements of the world’s “unbanked” using pre-paid debit accounts, empowered by a mobile phone or the Internet. Globally, “unbanked” consumers are crying out for financial technology to supply them with security, remittance, payroll convenience and spending options such as bills pay. Rechargeplus sets itself aside where existing financial institutions fall short – by tailoring its products to draw the unbanked and cash market into the financial mainstream. Rechargeplus leverages on the advent of the mobile technology to empower the payment capability of the customers. This allows the larger portion of low income individuals who are without permanent access to financial services to finally perform off site transactions and become part of the financial formal community. The Rechargeplus solution aims to provide convenience and cost effectiveness to the cardholders.  A Rechargeplus customer is issued with a pre-paid debit card supported by an issuing bank in the local market in which the customer resides or works.  Easy to sign up for an account. Any customers who have a mobile phone are entitled to register for a Rechargeplus card.  The Rechargeplus solution offers a variety of options to load funds; ACH (system that allows loading of funds using the existing bank account) plus 60,000 loading stations in the USA, proceed to the nearest Post office in China and in Australia, accredited loading partners in 70 countries and around 2,000 loading stations in the Philippines.  Once the account has been loaded, a variety of spending options are available from money transfer, bills payment, purchase of prepaid minutes and prepaid products, payment of loan or insurance, perform cash withdrawal to any of our cash-out stations and others.
