ROD was formed in 2016 and has worked for seven years as a citizen's advocacy group providing vision, guidance, and dialog with City Government and the community. We have consulted with Urban Planners and other U.S. cities that have successfully established thriving Downtown Districts. We have a dedicated and knowledgeable research team, we do our homework, find out "What Works, and What Doesn't," and share our knowledge for revitalizing Santa Clara's eight-block historic downtown district.
Next steps with City Government: Support the Downtown Community Task Force (DCTF) and the Urban Planner (WRT) as they deliver the Precise Plan and Form-based Code in 2023 to develop the new Downtown Santa Clara.
