RECOD (Relief for Community Outreach & Development) was established in 2022 as a community-based, independent, non-governmental organization, and later was formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). RECOD’s mission is to facilitate sustainable development by providing essential programs that promote health and safety needs for the vulnerable population. The organization's vision is to create a world where every individual can thrive in a safe, healthy, and dignified environment, free from violence, discrimination, poverty, and food insecurity. Since its inception, RECOD has actively engaged in providing comprehensive humanitarian, development, and peace-building services, offering health, protection, education, and climate change solutions to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters, discrimination, and environmental challenges. The organization's approach aligns with the HDP (Humanitarian-Development-Peacebuilding) nexus, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of these sectors in addressing complex challenges. Through this approach, RECOD is dedicated to empowering vulnerable and conflict-affected communities to survive, recover, build resilience, and secure their future through comprehensive and holistic service delivery. RECOD is guided upon the core foundational principles of Independence, Humanity, Impartiality, and Neutrality in its interventions while taking into cognizance the dignity of the affected population.
