The Recovery Talk Ghana team consists of individuals who have overcome addiction (and other psychological disorders); and are using this experience coupled with the education gathered along the way to help others live successfully in recovery.
Our main aim is to spread information about addiction control and prevention; and other psychological disorders through our personal experiences and the training we have gathered while working with other individuals experiencing these problems.
We are certified by the Narcotics Control Board as holders of the Echo training certificate for Internationally Certified Addiction Professionals (ICAP).
What we do:
•Screening & Assessment
•Psycho-education
•Recovery coaching / 12th stepping
•Training of recovery coaches through workshops
•Facilitating avenues to help the less privileged acquire the necessary help
•Recommendations or referrals to the appropriate facilities
•Interventions and advocacy
Between us, we have been on multiple outreach and advocacy missions at venues spanning from churches to schools to radio stations. We seek opportunities to organize talks, seminars or workshops wherever we are called. We are always on a mission to create avenues for recovery and addiction prevention methods to reach the people that need and want it. We aspire to build and equip multiple rehabilitation facilities that replicate and improve on the systems we’ve had the opportunity to experience and build in our journey of recovery.
