The recruitment and taking-on of new franchisees is globally accepted as one of the most challenging disciplines any franchisor has to master. Delayed funding approvals, franchisee expectation gaps and contractual oversights are all common symptoms of inadequate franchisee recruitment and rushed induction process. It is for this reason that some established franchisors are increasingly inclined towards multi-unit franchisee ownership and not having to deal with a new franchisee with every new opportunity or location. It is also not uncommon for newly established franchisors to be at loggerheads, especially with some of their first franchisees, as a result of challenges mentioned. More often than not, accepting a new franchisee into the network is a shot in the dark motivated by the candidate franchisee’s ability to procure funding. Allowing a cash buying franchisee into the network, but with no real intent to be the full-time operator of the business, will more often than not turn out to be cruel to all stakeholders and damaging to the brand. The pace of maturity of the relationship between the franchisee and the franchisor, also known as the progress of a franchisee through the e-Curve, is most certainly affected y the profile of the franchisee selected. The better the choice of candidate, the faster he or she will progress through the phases of franchisee maturity towards ultimately adding value to the network. RecruitEx is a solution that aims to address the shortcomings inherent to the lead generation process while adding value to all stakeholders. Engineering the solution was completed in association with psychometric professionals and cloud-based system engineering specialists. The result of our efforts throughout 2017 is the launch of the RecruitEx solution in January 2018.
