RECTIFY Inc. is a new non-profit organization in Maryland focusing on Reintegration & Equitable Community Transitions Including Family and Youth. RECTIFY Inc. sees the harm that mass incarceration has caused our communities, families, and individuals. We seek to rectify these harms and help provide a platform for our men and women to return home and for our communities to begin to heal. Not only are we focused on those who are returning to the community but RECTIFY Inc. seeks to prevent the incarceration and loss of members of our communities to the jail and prison system. RECTIFY Inc. has a specialized Juvenile and Adult Diversion Unit focused on reducing the numbers of men and women who end up in the revolving door of incarceration. RECTIFY Inc. believes that trauma has been the true gateway cause to the widespread pain witnessed and the direct link to the criminal justice system. Our dream is for Maryland to become the first Trauma Informed Criminal Justice System that has the capacity to address the trauma of our communities.
