ReD

ReD is a multidisciplinary organization aiming to ReDefine sustainability. Founded in 2017 by architect, engineer, and Fulbright scholar Reza Durrani, aims to build sustainable communities by bringing about positive social and environmental change. Structured with three diverse verticals, ReD offers a balanced aggregate of sustainable policy, design, and on-ground realities by sitting at the intersection of theoretical and practical development. ReD Designs core focus is to integrate sustainability into a design consultancy and project management firm. Encompassing sustainability on all fronts, ReD Experimental was established in 2019 as an urban policy think tank that feeds the theoretical logic behind ReD Designs. In 2020, ReD Residences was established to construct model instances of sustainable lifestyles; outputting built testaments of sustainability. As a body of diverse verticals, ReD is committed to solving the unsolved challenges of society that often go unread to redefine a better tomorrow. Community engagement, contextual realization, and environmental consciousness are embodied guiding principles that balance out the policy, design, and built realities of ReD. The interrelated verticals highlight the multifaceted connections of sustainable design, research, and investment; thus widening the lens through which sustainability is embedded into the built and unbuilt environment.
