The RedEnvelope business unit was acquired out of bankruptcy by Provide Commerce in 2008. The initial focus was to make RedEnvelope a profitable business unit, which occurred within the first 18 months of managing the business. RedEnvelope is known for its iconic “Red Box”, which serves to symbolize the emotional connection between gift giver and recipient through a great gifting experience. RedEnvelope is generally considered to have the highest brand name recognition amongst Provide Commerce brands.
