It is a program and social laboratory for economic development and innovation, aimed at generating capacities and expanding the structure of opportunities in vulnerable regions and groups. The initiative is based on the transformative innovation approach, through the strategy called: Transformative Innovation Devices for Agency Capacity in Development and Social Support. These devices are a package of technical-social and financial tools that facilitate social cohesion and coordination, financing, appropriation and production of applied knowledge, communication and accountability, and the full participation of social actors with autonomy and sustainability in building their own development agenda from their own efforts and values. It is an initiative to help vulnerable groups transition towards agency capacity, which significantly contributes to achieving peace, ethnic-racial equity, and the Sustainable Development Goals - Agenda 2030.
REDES LAB was established as a non-profit legal entity with a differential focus, in the city of Cali, Colombia, with special participation from a national-level public higher education institution, the National Technical Institute of Commerce (INTENALCO), and other civil society organizations.
