As a registered member of the Alliance for Responsible Battery Recycling ARBR, REDIN collects and manages used lead acid batteries as well as lithium ion batteries for sound recycling, in order to protect the environment from the deadly hazards of improper waste battery disposal while being involved in building capacity and knowledge, and creating public awareness on the dangers of improper battery disposal.
REDIN is developing strategies and guidelines for the management of C/D Waste in Nigeria. We are currently working with the Nigerian Engineering Council and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) to sensitize the construction industry on the importance of proper C/D waste disposal. .
