About Redmond Foundation
Redmond Foundation was established in 2019 to raise funds for and oversee Redmond's active programs with Chicago Public Schools and City Colleges of Chicago. The inaugural Building The Next Generation fundraiser took place in June of 2017 and established a scholarship fund at City Colleges of Chicago. The scholarship fund provides financial assistance and professional development for women in the Construction Management program at Kennedy-King College in Englewood. The foundation continues to grow that scholarship fund, as well as funding grants for Chicago Public School’s Career & Technical Education programs. The CPS initiative is focused on expanding access to Construction & Architecture career pathways for high school students at schools in Chicago's South and West side neighborhoods. Redmond's goal with both programs is to increase access to education and careers in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction, with an intentional focus on Chicago’s underrepresented and underemployed neighborhoods.
