Reducativa

Reducativa stands out as a comprehensive provider of educational services for students of English and Spanish, teachers, and institutions. With over twelve years of experience, the language teacher, Sofía Ahumada, leads a project that offers classes of English or Spanish as a Second Language, both virtually worldwide and in-person in Washington, DC, United States, serving students of all ages and levels. Reducativa's commitment extends beyond the classrooms, providing personalized guidance to teachers, covering everything from lesson planning to the implementation of tools and educational approaches. Moreover, Reducativa provides customized teacher training to educational institutions, offering specific solutions to their needs. This project, which had its beginnings as Teachers Support Argentina in 2020, was created by Sofía Ahumada and Carolina Ciampichini with the purpose of supporting teachers during virtual teaching in the COVID- 19 quarantine. In that year, more than 1000 teachers benefited from 29 training sessions focused on interactive tools and motivating approaches. Currently, Sofía Ahumada leads Reducativa with dedication. Her background includes graduating as an English teacher from the E.N.S. en L. V. Sofía B. de Spangenberg in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and serving as Teacher of English as a Second Language, as well as in key roles such as academic coordinator and academic secretary at a language institute in the same city. In 2021, Sofía moved to the United States, where she worked as a fourth-grade teacher in the "Spanish Immersion" program in Maryland for two years. Nowadays, Sofía provides her educational services at Reducativa, works as an English-Spanish interpreter in schools, and serves as a substitute teacher in both public and private institutions. Additionally, she shares vocabulary in English and Spanish as well as tips on her social media platforms (@reducativa.sofi), where she has a community of over 12 thousand followers.
