It was founded in 2006 by Jon Reed, after a 10-year career in publishing, including as publishing director at McGraw-Hill. Jon is also the author of "Get Up to Speed with Online Marketing" (2nd edition, Pearson Business, 2013), and lectures on social media at a number of universities. He is also the founder of Publishing Talk, an educational website for new and emerging authors, which has over 300,000 followers on Twitter.
