ReefWatch Marine Conservation

ReefWatch Marine Conservation is a non-profit Organization established in 1993, as a Public Charitable Trust under the Societies Registration Act with current 80G, 12A and CSR certifications. We are involved in coral reef restoration in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, running a Marine Megafauna Stranding Response network on the coast of Karnataka and providing veterinary support to an existing stranding network in Goa. We work with Schedule I protected species with requisite permissions from and in coordination with state Forest Departments and the Ministry of Environment & Forests (India). We are passionate about communication and raising awareness about the importance of India's ocean and marine biodiversity. We work closely with various stakeholders - from fisher communities to ecotourism operators, educational and governmental organisations, local citizen's groups and international experts in the field of marine sciences. We truly believe in the power of collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches towards conservation.
