Since the company was founded in 2015, the Refarmers team has been helping create solutions for local and circular farming. Because we think it’s important for everyone to eat fresh local food, no matter where they live.
We design, sell & install state-of-the-art vertical farming systems, including growing systems, LED lighting, monitoring and control equipment. We focus on small & medium size projects.
We also offer business & technical consultancy as well as training.
We distribute ZipGrowTM vertical farming products in Europe
We do R&D on recycling urban biowaste into energy & farm inputs (with Horizon 2020 funding).
Our customers
We've been helping dozens of growers in more the 15 countries start a vertical farming projects. Our most recent and noticeable projects are 3 commercial indoor farms in Sweden, including Plantagon's first farm (plantagon.com) and Ljusgarda (ljusgarda.se)
Our pilot farm
Our 320 m2 pilot farm is located in a dense urban area in the French city of Lyon. Here, we research new organic fertilizers for urban farming. We also grow lettuce, herbs and tomatoes, some of which find their way onto the tables of two local Michelin starred restaurants!
