RefME is Referencing, MadeEasy. At RefME we believe that technology should help students to access and share knowledge, without the unnecessary pain. Our founder, Tom Hatton, was a dyslexic student who was constantly frustrated with how complex and time-consuming the process of citing sources in your coursework can be. After graduating he then set about assembling an awesome team to create a tool to make this right. And so, RefME was born. RefME is the first tool to accurately automate citations. Students can scan a book barcode directly from their smartphones, turn printed text into digital text using their smartphone camera and add references with one click. RefME then automatically generates a bibliography, correctly formatting it in any of over 7,500 different citation styles. All work is backed up and synced to the cloud, so students can access, collaborate, and add to their projects anywhere, on any device. Now offering RefME Plus for students and RefME Institute for the entire university community, we're committed to helping students on their research and writing journey. Since the launch in 2014, RefME has become one of the fastest EdTech products in Europe, adding nearly a million users in the first few months, with thousands more students joining the “Refolution” every day.
