We’ve all seen that viral video of a Dunkin’ employee throwing away trays of donuts before closing. Bakeries and restaurants across the US face a similar problem — their excess food goes to landfills instead of customers, generating thousands of tons of CO2 emissions instead of thousands of dollars in revenue. That’s where refresh LA comes in. We’re an online marketplace connecting surplus food from local restaurants to price-savvy, eco-friendly customers. Our product is a win-win-win, helping restaurants generate more revenue, increasing accessibility to quality food, and mitigating food waste from the restaurant industry.
