Refugio de Sonrisas is a non-profit organization founded in 2024 with the mission of providing educational, recreational, and emotional support to vulnerable children, adolescents, and young people. We began in 2023 with a small group in rural areas of Peru, offering workshops focused on learning and creativity. In 2024, we officially registered and expanded our activities to foster homes, providing safe spaces for the development of children and adolescents. In 2025, we started workshops in hospitals, bringing moments of joy and emotional support to children undergoing medical treatment.
Additionally, we launched virtual programs such as Avancemos Juntos (2024), offering English classes for children; Futuros Brillantes (2025), with courses in languages, mathematics, science, communication, leadership, and personal development; and Elevate Academy (2025), focused on leadership and academic training for adolescents and young people. Through these initiatives, we aim to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote the educational, emotional, and social growth of our beneficiaries, while continuing to expand our impact to create accessible spaces where young people can reach their full potential.
