SRI is a women and indigenous-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing intersectional equality, education, and cultural and ecological regeneration. Through creative arts, integrating Indigenous wisdom with science, technology, and participatory storytelling, we catalyze systemic change for a more just and regenerative future. Mission: Through creative collaborations, Indigenous leadership, and global advocacy, we drive scalable impact for ecosystems and communities. We champion artistic works that illuminate the histories, hopes, and dreams of marginalized communities, inspiring compassion, justice, and healing. We believe creativity is a catalyst for transformation—and that regeneration begins when diverse voices, ancestral knowledge, and innovation converge to heal people and planet. Our work aligns with six UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Climate Action; Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions; Quality Education; Reduced Inequalities; Life on Land; and Partnerships for the Goals. We empower Indigenous- and women-led regeneration by awakening public consciousness, shifting cultural narratives, and mobilizing movements to build a just, equitable, and thriving world. Programs:
Founded in 1994 in West Bengal, India, with offices in New York and Virginia, SRI provides regenerative education, vocational training, neurodiversity support, micro-financing, homeopathic medicine, anti-trafficking programs, and community development for low-income women, children, and Indigenous peoples. Our initiatives, including Shakti Empowerment Education Foundation (SEEschool) and Ramakrishna Vidyapith, have supported over 8,000 students. Recognitions: We helped raise over $26 million for nonprofit partners and generated more than 2 billion media impressions through films and campaigns. Recognized at the United Nations, Rotary International, CNN, Harvard Carr Center for, Princeton University, the Disruptive Innovation Awards, TEDx, and XPRIZE Rainforest.
