About Regen Harvests
Regen Harvests formerly Agrobulking stands at the forefront of revolutionizing the bulking model in Uganda by introducing an innovative interest-free Crop Advance Payment solution and a range of value-added services, empowering the smallholder farmers who make up the 82% of the farming communities in uganda on their journey towards agroecology and regenerative agriculture. This visionary and forward-thinking company is dedicated to facilitating smallholder farmers, whose composition is about 65% women particularly those transitioning to agroecology and regenerative agriculture, aiming not only to sustainably boost agricultural production but also increase and elevate household income in farming communities in uganda. Pioneered by Regen Harvests team through the Rootical Business Builder Studio, the Crop Advance Payment (CAP) is a financial mechanism designed to address the longstanding challenges faced by small holder farmers which include limited access to financial services because they don’t have the needed collateral required by financial institutions. These farmers, often marginalized and financially underserved, find themselves caught in a cycle of debt, poverty and uncertainty. Besides this is further exacerbated by Climate change which poses a significant threat to agricultural productivity, with unpredictable weather patterns affecting crop yields. Besides this Small holder farmers often face barriers such as limited access to markets for organic produce and heavily rely on the middlemen for quick solutions.
