Our technology platform TissueSpan creates regenerative and off-the shelf meshes for soft tissue repair. Proof-of-concept is validated in an ongoing First-in-Human study where Regenosca's implants were successfully used to repair a narrowing of the urinary passage, a so called urethral stricture. Thanks to the mesh, tissue healing was induced at the implantation site! The current gold standard for urethral stricture repair is the use of patient's own inner mouth tissue. This second operation site creates additional pain, increases the risk of complications, and prolongates the overall surgery time.
No surgeon should be obliged in the future to harvest healthy tissue from the patient's body and patients shall get access to less invasive and efficient treatments. Regenosca's regenerative and ready-to-use TissueSpan meshes will revolutionize the repair of the urinary passage and present a promise for soft tissue repair in general.
