About ReMIC@OTH Regensburg
The ReMIC lab of OTH Regensburg is concerned with the methodical development of medical image processing and its adaptation to practical problems in clinics and industry. One focus is on deep neural networks. In this context, ReMIC develops new image analysis and classification methods and adapts established methods to clinical problems, e.g., radiology, ophthalmology, and endoscopy. A special focus is Smart Endoscopy, where software with Artificial Intelligence is developed especially for gastroenterology, but also for minimally invasive surgery, to improve diagnostic and/or surgical quality. Furthermore, ReMIC deals with 3D surfaces of medical objects and their use for clinical practice. For example, the Regensburg Breast Shape Model, a 3D model of the female breast, was developed here. https://www.linkedin.com/school/oth-regensburg
