The Regina Academies

The first Regina Academy was founded in 2003 by some concerned individuals who recognized the distinctive merits of Catholic classical education – the same education that produced some of the greatest saints and greatest minds in Western Civilization. Since 2003, we have grown to 4 schools in the Philadelphia area. In the classical liberal arts tradition, education only has value to the degree it enables the child to fulfill his purpose as a particular human being. The ultimate end of Christian Classical education is to enable the student to better know, love, and serve God and their fellow man. In each of the Regina academies, the Roman Catholic Faith as it is expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church is the foundation for the formation of students. Teachers formally pledge their fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church each year and are committed to the integration of faith and reason throughout the curriculum. Simply getting children to go to church regularly is not the key to becoming a mature, life-long Christian. Spiritual transformation requires a more extensive investment in one’s ability to interpret all life situations in spiritual terms. THAT is the goal of a Regina education.
