Als eingetragener, nicht gemeinnütziger Verein übernimmt Region Ostfriesland e.V. Projektideen und bringt sie bis zur Umsetzung und anschließenden Verstetigung. Mit breiten Koalitionen aus der Region ist nicht nur die Dachmarke entstanden, sondern auch örtliche und regionale Netzwerke von regionalen Erzeugern, Vermarktern und Gastronomen. Der Verein hat gesundheits- und familienpolitische Themen erschlossen, zur Zeit entsteht ein neues Netzwerk öffentlicher Mehrgenerationengärten.
