Regional Economic Solutions Pty Ltd (RES) is a specialist advisory company dedicated to bridging the economic and social gap between Indigenous Australians, businesses and the government. Our aim is to foster an environment of collaboration between projects in the energy and resources sector, and work with government, businesses and Indigenous Australians to support social and public policy, and economic outcomes that are sustainable, ethical and responsible. RES’s Directors, Leann Wilson and Mal Meninga, are from backgrounds as diverse as they are well-recognised within their chosen fields, and indeed the broader community. Engaging their complementary skills and expertise provides a truly unique opportunity for organisations wishing to negotiate the web of legal, social and cultural intricacies inherent in facilitating Indigenous engagement in Australia. Backed by global engineering and project management company Ausenco, RES’s goal is to facilitate and support business, government and Indigenous groups to create sustainable economic opportunities for Indigenous people through employment and business development opportunities. In October 2016, Regional Economic Solutions received “Supply Nation - Certified” in recognition of being business being majority Indigenous owned and managed.
