Reka Si, a research and art institute, is an intersectional feminist organization founded and led by migrant and refugee womXn.
Our aim is to build inclusive channels for sharing and generating knowledge through Community Arts & action research
Reka Si (meaning “the river in you”) is a transformative research and arts institute dedicated to harnessing creative expression as an innovative tool for participatory research and critical learning. Rooted in intersectional feminist values and led by womxn with lived experiences as refugees and migrants, we challenge dominant narratives and forge new pathways for knowledge generation.
Our Mission & Objectives
We expand the horizons of intercultural dialogue and sustainability research by integrating arts-based techniques to unlearn outdated paradigms and embrace alternative ways of knowing. Our work strives to foster intercultural communication and collaboration that is free of segregation and profiling, while also dismantling gender-violent oppressive regimes from an intersectional lens of solidarity. Through our practice, we are acknowledging our power and reclaiming space for human security and social justice.
Our Work & Projects
At Reka Si, we deploy innovative performing arts methodologies to validate existing knowledge while opening new channels for understanding from people and communities who face marginalization. Our projects promote critical reflection, amplify diverse voices, and re-accredit information that has long been overlooked. Through our interdisciplinary approach, we create dynamic spaces for resistance, dialogue, and transformative social change.
