What does it mean "last mile"? You probably know your tech but lack "professional" experience. Volunteer mentors act as engineering managers, tech leads, and proverbial "unblockers" as you build your own project like in a real-world tech company. How does it work? We do sprint planning together, play Scrum Poker together, we do code reviews, review pull requests, do deployments, stand-ups (not necessarily daily), run retrospectives, to try to make it as close to "real life" work as possible, so that you can put this experience on top of your CVs, and confidently talk about it during interviews etc. How much does it cost? It's FREE. You do the work why should we charge you? Besides, we also put this on our CVs as tech coaches and mentors 🙏
