The worldwide demand for lithium-ion battery systems will increase significantly in the coming years regarding increasing electro-mobile applications. This demand cannot be adequately met due to supply and capacity bottlenecks in cells and raw materials for cells. Therefore, the re-use of batteries and the recycling of battery systems and their materials are of particular importance. ReLioS is a German-Korean Development Network with strong and competent partners who are focused on making a closed loop supply chain network for Li-ion batteries in order to meet the future demands without negatively impacting the planet.
