We address the financial and environmental problems of prescription waste by connecting medication donations with patients in need. Across the nation, more than $100 billion worth of medication is destroyed each year. 20 percent of all filled prescriptions end up being thrown away. At the same time, tens of millions of Americans report they could not afford their prescriptions. Oral cancer medications can cost as much as $45,000 for a 30-day supply. Despite being some of the most expensive, these medications are also some of the most commonly wasted prescriptions, as upward of 40 percent of cancer patients expire before taking their full prescription. We endeavor to reclaim this life-saving resource and redistribute it to patients who would not otherwise have access.
