Remote Optometry Inc. is a Canadian start-up dedicated to bringing the next generation of telemedicine to Optometry. Our mission is to responsibly introduce telemedicine as a legitimate tool for providing quality patient care, providing synchronous access to eye doctors to places that have rarely had eye care service before. At the intersection of engineering and optometry, our team uses a unique and consolidated system of remotely operated equipment, high speed teleconferencing, and proprietary software to virtually facilitate full comprehensive eye examinations. Our technology provides clinics the ability to offer full comprehensive eye exam coverage to their patients in times when the doctor is not available, or when the doctor is not physically located on site. The Remote Optometry system can be utilized in both rural and urban areas, with the aim of increasing eye care availability across Canada.
