Renew NC is North Carolina’s long-term disaster recovery effort following Hurricane Helene, committed to rebuilding impacted communities stronger so they are more resilient to future storms. Renew NC was created by the Division of Community Revitalization (DCR) to offer five programs that address unmet hurricane recovery needs in western North Carolina, including housing, infrastructure, and economic revitalization. The programs will be funded through a $1.4 billion Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
