Renewa Fuels

RenewaFuels is a youth-founded social enterprise based in Cape Town, South Africa. It is dedicated to producing low-cost, sustainable biofuels from waste. Our flagship innovation transforms used cooking oil into biodiesel blends (B5–B20) for agriculture, transport, and small business operations. We offer a free oil collection service for homes and restaurants, and operate on a student-run production model supported by university lab facilities. Our project reduces carbon emissions, supports circular economies, and creates new pathways for youth-led entrepreneurship. We’re currently developing community-aligned products like biochar and glycerin-based soaps, with plans to launch regional entrepreneurship training programs through collaboration with Enactus Brazil.
