Since its inception in 1994, REPOA has worked to maintain its vision for leadership in policy research, while upholding its traditions as the premier centre of excellence for research, capacity building and policy development in Tanzania. REPOA engages in policy research and dialogues that promote socioeconomic transformation for inclusive development. Based in Tanzania, REPOA aspires to be the leading research institution in the region in the production and dissemination of knowledge that contributes to improving the lives of people by influencing socioeconomic policies.
