Research in International Teacher Education (ITE)

‘Research in International Teacher Education’ is an organisation dedicated to practice-oriented research in the field of international education. The ITE Impact Team, founded in 2024, through NHL Stenden Universities of Applied Sciences, we are the first research group dedicated to theory and practice for the international classroom. We support the field of international schools through our knowledge of teaching that embraces diversity, encourages intercultural understanding and nurtures an awareness of global issues and challenges. Based within ITE, the global center of international teacher training, we support knowledge sharing for regional schools and local international schools, as well as carrying out research projects with hundreds of international schools across 53 countries. As design-based researchers, we believe in co-creating projects with international educators, pre-service teachers and students that lead to transformative innovations for international schools. We want to collaborate with others as we carry out our own work in designing the future of international education through research and practice.
