RESERVOIR

Founded in 2021 by Heinrich Groenewald and Shona van der Merwe, RESERVOIR is a Cape Town-based gallery and curatorial partnership. With a focus on collaboration, RESERVOIR supports independent artistic practice through exhibitions, art advising, and collection management. Since opening their Bree Street space in 2023, they have presented ambitious solo and group exhibitions locally and abroad. RESERVOIR regularly participates in international art fairs and curates off-site exhibitions in collaboration with institutions and foundations across Europe and Southern Africa. The gallery is the recipient of multiple awards in recognition of its curatorial projects, and the achievements of its artists.
