The Microsystems Strategic Cluster of Quebec (Regroupement Stratégique en Microsystèmes du Québec - ReSMiQ) is a strategic grouping of the Quebec Nature and Technology Research Fund (FRQNT) dedicated to research on advanced heterogeneous microsystems that combine microelectronics with micro and nanomechanical, microfluidic, photonic, and optical structures.
Research at ReSMiQ covers most topics related to microsystems, from the very first phases of research where modeling, design, and simulation are carried out, to manufacturing, assembly, and packaging, followed by formal tests and experimental validations.
The ReSMiQ researchers are affiliated with 10 universities across Quebec: Polytechnique Montreal, École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), Concordia University, McGill University, Laval University, the Université du Québec in Montréal (UQAM), the Université du Québec in Trois Rivières (UQTR), the Université du Québec in Outaouais (UQO), and the University du Quebec in Rimouski (UQAR).
