Who we are: Resolute Foundation is a non-profit organisation offering Coding and Robotics to schools that currently do not have access to tech-based education. What we do & how we do it: The Foundation works to equip underprivileged South African students with industry-relevant skills by teaching them the fundamental principles of electrical and software engineering. By providing quality tech-based education to disadvantaged communities, we aim to help South Africa become a hub of technology. Our vision is to reach this goal through 6 key elements: 1. Providing quality education 2. Empowering teachers through SACE-accredited teacher training 3. A government-aligned curriculum 4. A user-friendly online learning platform 5. Sustained support for students and teachers throughout their journey 6. And of course — a heart for innovation! Why Robotics and Coding? In an ever-evolving world, job markets are becoming extremely competitive. In order to help students navigate this world, education should evolve too! Students will acquire skills such as: - teamwork and collaboration - creative, critical and computational thinking - and complex problem-solving skills In teaching students these essential skills, students will have a solid foundation when entering into the job market, giving them an advantage in any industry they decide to pursue.
