Resource & Exploration Mapping Pty Ltd (REM) was formed in 1998 with a focus on data compilation and map production for exploration, mining and environmental companies. We have since grown to 11 employees and have broadened our scope to provide a unique range of services rarely found in a GIS organisation. Our expert team can deliver solutions to all your GIS needs from computer hardware and software to surveying and database administration. The National Centre of Geographic Information and Analysis has defined GIS (Geographic Information Systems) as: “A GIS is a system of hardware and software and procedures to facilitate the management, manipulation, analysis, modelling, representation and display of georeferenced data to solve complex problems regarding planning and management of resources.” (NCGIA, 1990). REM has based its business plan on the provision of the complete range of GIS services defined above.
